Go
Shorty, it’s ya birthday. We’re
gonna party like it’s ya birthday...ahem...yes.
Well, actually as of June 26th Off
The Wall turns the corner on its first
year in business.This
will be a proud and, yes, somewhat
emotional day for us...(sniff...sniff).
Our baby is growing up (sniff). Anyway
we want you to share the joy with
us. We’re practically giving
away bottles of Labatt’s
at $1 a bottle FOR THE WHOLE DAY.
So come thirsty. Also, and you’ll
love this -- we’re gonna have
an Open
Bar from 8pm -9pm.
So mark it on your calendar. June
26th. It’s our birthday but
we’re going to celebrate like
it’s yours.

Did
we break the art? Actually no, but
the broken painting that’s up
on our walls is just one of the pieces
done by our June Artist, Dan
Mardana. Actually,
you can get a sneak peak of his work
right here in the Galleries
section, or see the real thing in
person at our place until June
30th.

| So
What are you doing this Saturday?
Hopefully listening
to this solid compilation CD put
together by a Sweedish DJ who
calls himself Soul
Supreme. He’s
managed to bring some of the ol’
school hip-hoppers like KRS-1,
Big Daddy Kane, Pete Rock and
others. With a 70’s style
groove this CD is definitely worth
hearing.. |

Okay...here’s
a good one, and
we’re telling the truth
here: A former Enron
pipeline engineer named David
Tonsall decided
to trade in the tie for a microphoone.
He now goes by the rap alias
of “NRun”
and is releasing
a rap album titled "Corporate
America." The album reportedly
disses all of his former Enron
bosses by name. Tonsall has
already invested $15,000 into
this unique project.

He
can dish it out but can’t
take it. That’s what we’ve
learned about Eminem
who refused to allow Weird
Al Yankovic
to do a parody video of the
popular 'Lose Yourself”
video. Even though Eminem has
parodied other artists in his
own videos, including
Elvis,
and various Boy Bands, after
hearing the final cut of the
Wierd Al song, he declined to
give rights to make a video
Em’s representative’s
failed to offer a reason on
the decline, but Al speculates
that they knew that a Weird
Al parody would “distract
from his legacy as a serious
hip-hop artist.”Too bad,
because Al felt this would have
been his “best video ever.”
The song will, however, appear
on his next album titled “Poodle
Hat.” |
